A watch can obviously inform you of the present time, but also carries a history of the past with it. As a young sprite my fondest memories were those of my father and grandfather wearing their beloved timepieces each and every day. Their watch sharing in the experiences they lived & the places they traveled. At a very young age my father shared with me that whenever you feel overwhelmed or like the world is a heavy place, take a look at your watch and watch it tick for 10-15 seconds. Focus on the hands and their movement, then return to the present. Now take in the sights, smells, noises and world around you. This mental reset allows you to ground yourself. Take in everything around you with a new ease of mind. As we know, the world is currently overly connected and quite overwhelming at times. This simple act changed my life… and it can change yours. Since this very day with my father I have worn a watch my entire life. Some may call me an old soul, but I consider it an appreciation for history & a way to navigate the present as intentionally as possible. During family time spent with my grandfather, I often remember sitting downstairs at his tool bench "tinkering" with watches. Taking them apart, understanding how they work in awe, then assembling them back. As a sentimental hobby I have collected, repaired and cleaned vintage timepieces from around the globe in honor of them. At Sable we give them a new chance at life with their own story to tell.
Primarily located in Nashville, TN, I travel the world for both work and leisure. These are just small mementos that I collect along the way. I not only get to learn their story, but occasionally the previous owner’s life story as well. In addition to our pre-sourced pieces, we also custom source timepieces for clients.
